Fillmore Sectional

The Fillmore Sectional By Thrive Furniture!

I love the new Fillmore Sectional recently introduced by Los Angeles-based furniture manufacturer Thrive Home Furnishings. In keeping with their presidential nomenclature, the Fillmore Sectional is named after Americas 13th President, Millard Fillmore. It has a distinctly mid-century style with a button tufted rear cushion, narrow low-profile armrests and a solid wood base supported by tapered wood legs that gives it a cool Danish modern look.

The Fillmore Sectional comes in two pieces, a two-seat sofa section and an ultra-wide and comfortable chaise lounge. You can choose which can be configured in either a left or right facing orientation depending on the needs of your room. This keen mid-century sectional can come upholstered in leather or one of Thrive Furniture’s cool fabric styles and colors. This includes the expanded new vivid color selections recently introduced by Thrive with brighter colors like Atomic Red,  Sunny Yellow, Citrus Orange and my favorite of their new colors, Picante! The Picante fabric looks like a burnt reddish orange and looks just like my grandma’s drapes looked back in the 1970s.

As always Thrive Home Furnishings makes this uber-swanky modern mid-century sectional sofa in their facility in California and it includes free shipping and a lifetime warranty. All for $2,849.00, a price that is less than a more conventional sofa that you would buy at a national chain store. So if you want, no NEED a cool retro sectional at a great price, buy the Fillmore Sectional from Thrive Home Furnishings.

Koochy Sofa by Karim Rashid

The smooth and curvaceous Koochy Sofa from Zanotta is a study in soft and fluid style. This sofa has a rounded  and inviting shape with not a single straight line to be found. It is a prime example of the contemporary Italian design style that Zanotta is known for. Established in 1954 by Aurelio Zanotta, they have always been on the forefront of Italian Industrial Design. They support this phenomenon through quality, comfort and functionality of design and by nurturing a series of innovative young designers. In the process, they were literally
