zanotta lama lounge chair by ludovica and roberto palomba

the lama lounge chair designed by ludovica and roberto palomba for zanotta in 2006. sleek and streamlined, lama's has a very striking and original appearance. one of the more useful aspects of its design is, when a body is in a reclined position, both the head and feet are elevated. lama is made of a graphite colored varnished steel frame supporting polyurethane upholstery with elastic strips suspension and a non-removable internal nylon cover. the removable external cover is available in various fabrics, leathers or cowhide in a multitude of colors. spare covers are available for the chair in case of accidental damage to originals or order different colors and fabrics for variety or occasional change in decor. ludovica and roberto palomba have worked together as both architects and designers since 1994. they have developed architectural projects, designed sets for theater and film and prepared cultural exhibitions such as abitare il tempo a verona.
